You can get a good overview of missions in Louisiana by looking at this site.
It’s beginning to look a lot like a missions project day! I hope to see you Saturday morning at 9 A.M. in the fellowship hall to work on some project for Operation Christmas Child. Everyone, men, women, boys, and girls, is invited to participate. This will be out last project day before the collection week, which is coming up in November.
I was asked to add a very sick child to our prayer list. He is Lane Gottschalk. Please pray for him.
Please continue to pray for the people in the path of Hurricane Florence. Pray for the storm trackers as they make predictions that influence many lives. Pray for electrical personnel and a disaster relief people as they head into that area to help the people who will have problems with the storm.
Many of the storms of our lives don’t come with names in alphabetical order or so much warning, but they some unannounced and without all the outside help. That’s okay, because God is there for us. He can handle any of the problems we face if we give him our worries.
We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
What a day with lots of memories yesterday (9/11) was. May today be a day of preparation for people in the path of Hurricane Florence. May families make wise decisions regarding the storm. I clearly remember how life stopped it’s regular routine after Hurricane Katrina.
Pray for Baptist Disaster Relief teams as they get in place to begin hurricane relief. Thank God for the many people who so freely give of themselves to help those in need.

Saturday, we will have out last mission project day for Operation Christmas Child. for 2018. I hope you will join us from 9-Noon as we complete more projects that make items for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.
This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot.
