Pray for Buddy Morris and his family.  He is scheduled to have a stent put in his leg tomorrow.

Pray for Jim Walley, a friend of Frances Gay, as he has problems with his lungs again.

Pray for the families of those involved in the accident in Greensburg over the weekend.

Pray for VBS this week at night at The Lord’s Church and at Spring Creek Baptist Church.  May the children who attend be greatly blessed.  May God lead some of them to turn their hearts and lives over to Him.

Pray for the youth of The Lord’s Church as they spend the week at missions camp.

Thank God and the local farmers for all the wonderful vegetables coming in.  Only God can make a seed grow into corn, tomatoes, peppers, etc.

Weldon Russell of Amite lost his wife, Mary, to cancer.  Pray for the families.

Debbie Crawford lost her Aunt Virginia.  Pray for the families.

Julia Marie Miller, born July 9, 1958, passed away at her home on June 15, 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Melody Newcomb and husband, Brandon, Greensburg; 2 grandchildren, Daisy and Braylin Newcomb; Her long time love, Doug Wilson, Greensburg; mother, Hilda Boyd, Loranger; 3 sisters, Mary Burnett and husband, Grover, Slaughter, Patricia Bullock, Arkansas, and Ellen Graham and husband Cletis, Ponchatoula; 2 brothers, AJ Boyd and wife, Delores, and Lynn Burnett, Zachary, numerous nieces and nephews and long time friends. Preceded in death by her father, Altus Boyd, her former husband, Freddie Miller and mother in law, Evelyn Miller. Mary Munt Rohner
(January 19, 1944 – June 14, 2013)

A resident of Greensburg, she died on Friday, June 14, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 19, 1944 in Oakes, ND and was 69 years of age. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, baking, caring for her pets and her afternoon coffee with her friends. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Greensburg and was an owner and breeder of Thoroughbred Race Horses. She is survived by her 4 children, James Gregory Rohner, Chicago, IL, Paige R. Kluck and her husband, Mark, Suffolk, VA, Kip Leon Rohner and his wife, Becky, Thibodaux, Blair R. Bongiovanni and her husband, Brad, Baton Rouge; 7 grandchildren, Mark, Ryan, Jeremy, Rebecca, Abigail, and Matthew Kluck, and Molly James Bongiovanni. Preceded in death by husband, James Rohner; parents, James Dudley Munt and Mary Louise Pfeifer Munt. Visitation at St. Helena Catholic Church, Amite, from 2 p.m. until religious services at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Services conducted by Fr. Mark Beard. Continue to pray for John Orr who is now in rehab in Tyler, TX.  His wife, my aunt, Naomi, is exhausted.  She she gets some rest and he gets some good exercise time.

Wow!  A second explosion at a plant in two days.  The one at Donaldsonville yesterday, also killed one person and injured a number of others. Pray for those who have to go to work in a plant today and in the coming days.  From my friends, I have learned how difficult it it to send their loved ones into such a place to work on a daily basis.

Mrs. Mary Rohner of Greensburg passed away.  I taught Paige and Kip.  Please pray for this family.  The coming days will be difficult for them.

A resident of Roseland, LA, and formerly of Taylor, TX, she died at 4:50PM on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at her home. She was born April 24, 1953 in Corpus Christi, TX and was 60 years of age. She is survived by 2 sons, Ben Greene, Roseland and Matthew Greene, Corpus Christi, TX. Preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Rose Havoc. Larry Carruth

The surgeons were not able to complete the procedure to remove his esophagus because they found a new tumor in the stomach and it seems the cancer has spread to his lymph nodes. Daddy has made the decision to try another round of Chemo. He will begin treatment on July 10th and he will take a treatment once every three weeks. Please continue to pray for him as we travel this road ahead of us.

Many of you know Mr. Earl and “Miss” Marilyn Dees of Arcola.  Their daughter, Penny, had surgery earlier, but has been hospitalized again with an infection this time.  Pray for her and for her family.  The family will be so thankful for your prayers.

Continue to pray for Robbie Lynn and her family.  She is in Jackson, MS.  Thank-you for your prayers.

Thursday Afternoon

Friends, please be praying for the family of Dr. Dave Edwards. Bro. Dave went to be with The Lord yesterday after walking from the SBC Convention back to his hotel. Bro. Dave was a professor at Tennessee Temple University. As you can imagine his wife Karen and family as well as coworkers are in shock and need our prayers. This morning I’m reminded again of the brevity of life and our need to have a sense of urgency in reaching the lost. -Bro. Stan (Statham)

Millie Edwards the young daughter of one of my former students, Sonja, is on hospice care and slowly showing signs that she is not getting better.  Pray for this family, especially for Sonja.  She is a strong person and a very protective mother.

Wednesday Evening

Chase Birch did well in surgery.  The family appreciates your prayers to this point and requests your prayers as healing and physical therapy will continue for a while.

Rachel Rhodes (and dad, Bro. Keith) are home and so thankful to have had the experience of doing mission work in Rwanda.

The floods that were in Prague, CR last week are now in Hungary.  This report is from my young granddaughter in Prague.  Please pray for all those who have had or will have damage as the snow melts and the rains fall.

Jennie said a group from the New Orleans area where her children had the opportunity to participate in Upward Basketball/Cheering will be in Prague to train workers so the program can begin in the Christian International School of Prague.  This will be one of the first activities in the newly purchased school building.  Pray for the rewards of this program as it is developed.  Thank God for the people from the New Orleans area who are starting a great program in a new area.

Brady and Christy Haynes, another former youth minister at FBC, Kentwood were featured in a magazine in the area where they now live.  The article was about ” two of the Bays 50 most beautiful people LOL The coolest part is that the article was about who we are on the inside and they talked about our marriage. ”  If you know Brady and Christy, you already knew that!  It’s nice to know others also recognize that though.

Mr. Philip Harrel is having back problems.  Pray he gets to feeling better soon.  “Miss” Annie Bell is about the same.  Pray for this sweet couple.

Mrs. Shirley Frazier will be going to Mandeville tomorrow to have more tests done.  Pray for her as she travels and sees the doctor.  She is enjoying spending a little time on the porch and in the yard, two things she enjoys the most.

Mr. Larry Carruth‘s esophagus surgery went well today.  Pray for him and his family as they go through the healing process as well as chemo.
