The surgery to implant a (difibelator spelling??) was done todayMon 18th with great success.. In my last post I was mistaken this wasn’t a pacemaker surgery! His parents & those taking care of him has wittness the hand of our Loving God doing what the Drs could not do for him!!This family thanks all of those who have taken time to pray for Brian..

A resident of Kentwood, died at 1:43 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at her residence. She was born March 3, 1932 in Poplarville, MS and was 80 years of age. Visitation at New Zion Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Services conducted by Rev. Richard Sandberg. Interment New Zion Cemetery, Kentwood. Survived by 2 sons, Ronald Calvin Harris, Tylertown, MS, Joseph Steven “Steve” Harris, Baton Rouge, 8 grandchildren, Ronnie Gerald Harris and wife, Dana, Tina, Stevie, Melissa, Laura, Amanda, Nathan and Julie Harris, 4 great grandchildren, Sarah, Christian, DJ and Dallas, 2 brothers, George Mitchell and Monroe Mitchell and 2 sisters, Josie Spears and Peggy Parson. Sammy Ott is having a few problems post- surgery. Please keep him in your prayers.

Thank God for the 15 decisions that were made at the Diciple Now Weekend at FBC,Kentwood.  The youth  from a number of churches attended.  Their D-Now leader shared a wonderful sermon yesterday.  Pray for each youth and each leader who attended.

This is the week we have the Third Thursday meeting at the cabin.  If you would like to join us for supper, fellowship, and a devotional, please come.  We meet at 6:30 at the cabin.

Jadon and his family got to spend last week at Disney.  Thank God for those who provided them with this opportunity.  I think jadon was able to ride and enjoy his time immeasurably!

I have a Praise report on my nephew Brian Goings hes off the vent, woke up and has been trying to communicate with his parents.. If they can get the infection down Mon at 7:30 am he will have in a pace maker put in.. Please put this on the Prayer Link .God is an awesome God & he hears when we call upon him.. Thanks to all that prayed for Brian & keep those prayer coming .

Bernard “Ben” Bidwell
(February 3, 1939 – February 15, 2013)

A resident of Amite, died at 12:40 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Hood Memorial Hospital in Amite. He was born February 3, 1939 in Columbia, MS and was 74 years of age. He is survived by wife, Cheryl Lynn Bidwell, 3 daughters, Carolyn Bidwell, Charolette, NC, Teddy Renee Collins, Denham Springs, Karen LeBlanc, Nashville, TN, 1 sister, Francis McGehee, Denver, CO and 5 grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Bruce W. Bidwell and Annie Willingham and 1 son, Andrew Zack Bidwell. Mr. Bidwell was a lifelong auto mechanic and owned Ben’s Garage. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite from 11 a.m. until Memorial Services at 12 Noon on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Services conducted by Rev. Byron Humphrey. The last weeks have included one wake/funeral after the other.  It is sad to lose so many friends, but also good to know we have so many.  May God bless and comfort each grieving family.

Mr. Adrian Phillips was discharged from the hospital.  David went to his home to check on him and found him working on a truck.  Pray he doesn’t have any more problems.

Pray for all the youth from our area who will participate in the Disciple Now Weekend in Kentwood today through Sunday.  Pray for spiritual results.

Gordon Price
(June 3, 1931 – February 13, 2013)

A resident of Kentwood, he died on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in Kentwood. He was born June 3, 1931 in Kentwood and was 81 years of age. Mr. Price was a retired educator from Oak Forest Academy and also taught at other schools in the area. He enjoyed photography where he helped with the OFA Golden Oak and photographed many weddings. He was a member of Kentwood United Methodist Church. He is survived by 3 nieces, Linda Price Alford and husband, Ronald, Virginia Price McKenzie and husband, Henry and Sue Price Connelly and husband, Phil, 1 nephew, Dennis L. Price and wife, Shari, 6 great nieces and 1 great nephew and 5 great-great nieces and 3 great-great nephews. Preceded in death by, parents, Adolphus Q. and Veda Ricks Price, 2 sisters, Mary E. Price and Grace Price Hyde, 2 brothers, Edmond L. Price and Willie A. Price, 2 nephews, Ricky L. Price and Gregory P. Hyde. Graveside Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013.
