“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,

and comes down from the Father of lights,

with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”

~James 1:17, NKJV~

I would like to put 3 people on the prayer list. The first one is Mrs. Floyce Britt formerly of Brookhaven, Miss. She now lives in Hattiesburg, Miss for many years. She is our Sister -in-law Demple Smith’s mother. She is in hospital not doing well at all.
Had a heart attack and now things are not improving. The 2nd person is Frank’s brother Mike Smith who will be having 70% blockage in his neck taken care of the 6th of December. The 3rd person is my brother, Charles Fortenberry who will be having knee replacement in North Carolina Dec.6th. I know this is a lot at one one time but would appreciate prayers for all 3 people. Thank you so very much.
Love you all,
Sue (Smith)

 Please pray for Carol New as she has knee replacement surgery.

Saturday

“Dear children,

let us stop just saying we love each other;

let us really show it by our actions.”

~1 John 3:18 NLT~

I’m sure all of you have seen the picture of the New York policeman who bought socks and boots for a homeless man.  He certainly showed love with his actions.  He didn’t do it for publicity though.  I have also been hearing lots of stories of Random Acts of Kindness such as buying the meal of the person behind you at a drive-through.  I think the Christmas season is an ideal time to put into practice the above verse.

Tomorrow, Southern Baptists will begin a week of pray for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.  This is the fund that supports 50% of the funds for all our international missions.  100% of the money given to this fund will be used for throughout the world to share the message about Jesus that can save lives for a home in heaven for eternity.  During this time we will learn how to BE His heart, hands and voice, no matter the cost?”
