but only helpful words,

the kind that build up and provide what is needed.”

Continue to pray for Marsha Bankston.  We learned yesterday evening she was able to be off the ventilator, but was developing other problems.  Pray for the entire family.

David Allen no longer has a kidney stone, but he has a sore throat and cough again.  Please keep praying for him.

I’m looking forward to company for lunch.  I trust you also have something to look forward to today.

Friday Evening

Christian, grandson of Harrel and Susie Sharkey, is out of surgery and in ICU for the night.  The surgery went well.  Thanks for your continued prayers for him.

Please keep praying for our friend, Marsha Bankston and her family.  Marsha is in ICU at North Oaks.  The family will be very appreciative of each and every prayer for them.

Today, we were blessed to have supper in Amite with Bro. Chip and Martha Sloan.  Bro. Chip was our pastor in Roseland  almost forty years ago.  They mean so much to our family and haven’t changed since we saw them last except they now have three granddaughters.  Many God continue to use them in His service as pastor of King’s Mountain Baptist Church in North Carolina.

Friday Additions

From Susie Sharkey

Please be in prayer for my grandson Christian. He is having a 3 hour surgery today at 9:30 at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans for his chest. His chest is caving in, instead of outward. He should be in the hospital 7 days. Thank-you for praying for us.

Please be in pray for Marsha Bankston and her family.  Marsha is in ICU Chemo at North Oaks.

Third Thursday Meeting

We had another good meeting at the cabin last night.  I thank God for the love and friendship shared last night.  I thank God that despite the physical trials this year of many of the people present, we could not only share in our devotional/songs, but also laugh together.  What a blessing our meetings have been to me!

Why do you notice the little piece of dust in your friend’s eye,

but you don’t notice the big piece of wood in your own eye?

First, take the wood out of your own eye.

Then you will see clearly to take the dust out of your friend’s eye.
