Monday

The LORD gives strength to his people;

the LORD blesses his people with peace.

Luther Terrell may have had back surgery Wednesday, but he was at church both yesterday morning and again last night.  He will be home a while before he gets clearance to return to his truck driving job.

Please pray for Andy Taylor as he sees a lung specialist and undergoes tests tomorrow.

Frances Gay is scheduled for outpatient surgery Wednesday at Ochsner clinic in Covington.  Please pray.

Bobby Forbes will have several by-passes at Ochsner hospital in Covington tomorrow.  Pray for him, his surgeon, the medical staff, and the family as they wait.

Continue to pray for all the people who have be injured or lost family members in the storm that has crossed the southeast USA over the last week.  Pray for them to be able to get damaged homes, businesses, schools, and churches restored and replaced.  Many people from area churches are helping in disaster relief.  If you would like to contribute some needed items, bring them to FBC, Kentwood.  They will be passed on to an area in need.  Our usual spot to leave such items, is just inside the door to the office entrance under the stairwell.  Suggested items are:

“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.

And let us not neglect our meeting together,

as some people do,

but encourage one another,

especially now that the day of his return is drawing near”

~Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT, 2nd ed.~
