A resident of Kentwood, he died at 4:22 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at AMG Specialty Hospital in Denham Springs. He was born April 17, 1932 in Kentwood and was 80 years of age. Visitation at Bethel Baptist Church, Kentwood, from 11 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Services conducted by Rev. Clay Spinks. Interment Pine Ridge Cemetery, Kentwood. He is survived by his wife, Carol Jean Bridges, Kentwood; daughter, Rene’ McDaniel and husband, Rodney; son, Richard Bridges and wife, Candace; sister, Mildred Emily Bridges; 2 grandchildren, Iley McDaniel, Madeline Bridges; 2 great-grandchildren, Austin L. McDaniel and Jonathan C. McDaniel; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by, parents, William Otis and Nina Young Bridges; infant brother, Frank Bridges; brother, William J.
